Tēnā koe e hoa,
My name is Morgan McKeen and I am an educator based in Auckland, New Zealand. I am a primary trained teacher, with experience teaching junior and senior primary students. My passion for technology in education was sparked when I saw the potential of digital devices to engage and support learners, foster collaboration and share learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.
I pursued this interest further by completing the Mind Lab's Post Graduate Certificate in Digital and Collaborative Learning and have recently begun studying towards my Master of Education Practice.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work for Microsoft as a Teacher Ambassador, providing professional development to schools around New Zealand using Microsoft Office and Windows 10. Following this, I worked with The Warehouse Group to showcase Microsoft technology and how it can be utilised in the classroom to facilitate greater outcomes through accessibility tools and the power of digital inking. I am a passionate proponent of the potential of OneNote to simplify teacher and student workflow and digital inking for showing thinking.
In my current role as a STEM Specialist teacher, I aim to share my learning journey as I implement the Digital Technologies and Science curriculum from Years 1-6.
Thanks for taking the time to have a read 😊
Ngā mihi nui,
Morgan
